January 14, 2011 - 36th Day

Quite the full day.  Work was more hectic then a chicken in a pack of wolves.  EVERYONE and their dog called in today, and if you can imagine how hard it is to talk to a dog, you know what my day was like.  At night, we went to Anasazi Steak house with the Weavers, Sheppards, and Anderson's.   It was really nice, and Rhys was particularly funny.  It's always nice to go out with friends after a stressful day, especially when you get to have cheese fondue and chocolate fondue (remember, I love chocolate)!    Then, I got back home at about 10:00 and Mitch Huntsman, Amber's boyfriend, called and asked if he could talk to me when he got into St. George.   He said he was only about 100 miles out.    I knew what he was going to ask me, so I agreed.  He got here at about 12:15 and we went over to my office and he asked for Amber's hand in marriage.  I asked all the tough questions and he responded with flying colors.  He's really a good kid, so I told him that he had my blessing, and then I got home at 2:00 in the morning.   Saturday should be an exciting day as he's going to ask Amber to marry him, and she doesn't know he talked to me early in the morning.  She won't be expecting it until Saturday night.   Things I learned today, 1st, My friends are cool.  2nd, I like fondue, it doesn't matter what it is, cheese, chocolate, donuts, ice cream bars--ok, ice cream bars may be a bit of an exaggeration, but you get my point.   3rd, I'm finally going to get some height in the family! (Mitch is about 6' 3).  4th, Being a dad rocks!
