Sunday was awesome. Got up at 5:00, drank some slim fast, went to church at 6:00 and went to meetings until 4:00 in the afternoon! Whoo hoo! Church was great though, the talks were about prayer and scripture study and they made me feel good. Then I came home, had a great spaghetti dinner and then read with my wife and kids. Didn't run into one person that I was even tempted to not be nice too. People at church were nice, and I have to tell you about my fantastic neighbor. He should be the one writing the blog! I came home from my meetings and my neighbor, Blair Gibson, had my Porsche jacked up and he was laying underneath the car. He popped his head out and said, "Oh, I was trying to surprise you." He's a mechanic and had seen that I was having trouble with my car, so he wanted to help me get the hood open. He was able to get it open, and not only that, he found a cable that he re-routed so I could pull it easily from the bottom of my car to open the trunk. Is that a nice neighbor or what! I'm definitely making him and his wife cookies (OK, stop laughing, no, I can't do mechanical stuff but I can make killer cookies!) Things I learned today, 1st, 10 hours of church is better than 10 hours of work. 2nd, Blair Gibson is in no way related to Dave the Qwest guy. 3rd, I'm secure in my manhood, even though I'm better at making cookies then I am at taking apart a car. 4th, I'm thinking of getting a man cave and buying a 100" television to watch NASCAR! I was thinking of having a sign on the door like the one shown below:
