January 2, 2011 - 24th Day

My church time changed today and I had to get up at 5:00 in the morning to get to a 6:00 meeting!  I got to sleep early enough so I was pretty upbeat though.  I started singing "Good Morning, Good Morning, You slept the Whole Night through!" when I got to my meeting and one of the other people in the meeting told me to be quiet because it was too early in the morning to be singing that song.  Good thing I wasn't singing Bon Jovi or maybe some ACDC (probably not appropriate for church anyway).  Today was fast Sunday, so my stomach started growling at me at about 10:00 in the morning.  I had to conduct the main meeting today, so I was a little worried my stomach would be growling so loud the congregation would hear it.  That would be embarrassing, but luckily, it didn't happen.   Again, it's pretty easy to be nice to people at church, even when you're hungry, so today was pretty easy.  I got home from church at 3:00, so I only had a 9 hour church day, which wasn't bad.   Then Amber got home from Texas at 2:00 in the morning and was so excited she woke Kaylee up at 3:00 to tell her about her trip.  Kaylee was not amused, but she feigned excitement in her dreamlike stupor.   Things I learned today, 1st, Don't sing songs at 6:00 to people that are not morning people, you're bound to get hurt (especially if the person who is not a morning person is a police officer!) 2nd, Hunger is overrated, it's better to be hungry and happy then full and grumpy (well maybe not, it depends on how hungry and how grumpy we're talking).  3rd, Don't wake your sister up at 3:00 in the morning to tell her super exciting news, she is not going to be as excited as you are.  For that matter, don't wake anybody up at 3:00 in the morning, unless someone has died; and even then, don't unless they're related to the person.
